Contributions: Those wishing to make contributions should
- DECIDE which type of support they wish to contribute (see table above)
- DECIDE if you wish to be acknowledged or would rather make an anonymous contribution
- CONTACT Dave Roper, Sustainable Blacksburg Treasurer, and ask for our nonprofit 501(c)3 number for tax purposes
- WRITE a check to Sustainable Blacksburg Incorporated
- MAIL your contribution, along with a brief descriptive note, and send these to Sustainable Blacksburg, P.O. Box 4, Blacksburg, VA 24063-0004.
Acknowledging
Financial Support:
Contributions,
in the supporting categories listed above, will be listed on the Sustainable
Blacksburg WEBSITE, and in the
right-hand column of this BLOG, from the time the contribution is made until
the end of December of the following year, unless the contributor
asks not to be acknowledged. “In kind” donations will be monetarily
evaluated and appropriately acknowledged.
How Funds
Will Be Used:
- To support information and materials given out at our booth during Town fairs and festivals
- To underwrite the purchase of reusable water bottles for resale
- To provide funds in support of Sustainability Week
- To support special events, such as those held at the Library
- To help with expenses, such as phone and internet services at the Price House
- Other expenses as approved by the SB Board of Directors
Advantages
for Contributors:
- During each calendar year, if desired, Supporting Member's and Sponsor's contributions for that year will be acknowledged on the SB Website and in the right-hand column of this BLOG. The total amount of anonymous donations in each category will also be listed.
- Sponsors, at the 'Partner' level and above, will receive one or more free table at the next Sustainability-Week Saturday event.
